It seems there is an ever increasing amount of mandatory training! Has anybody got expereince of using E Learning to support the delivery of mandatory training? Are there particular resources you would recommend? Are there any areas of mandatory training will lend themselves particularly well to E Learning and equally are there areas which you have found cannot be delivered satisfactorily using E Learning resources? Does anybody have any examples of a blended approach to mandatory training they would be willing to share? Any thoughts gratefully received!

Hi Sharon. We are looking at a MulitMedia company called Training Tracker that provide a hosted site for you to put your mandatory training material on. It is very simple and compatible with Microsoft and MACs. it will take some set up time but in the long run will save money and time. We have had two demonstrations by phone using a module and I can see how it would fit well with blended learning using face to face and e-learning modules. It will also run reports on all staff learning via an excell spreadsheet. The website is http://www.trainingtracker.co.uk if you want to have a look

Many thanks Serena I will certainly take a look. Do you have to design and develop your own training material or is that provided or perhaps accessed from another source? Sounds as though you may be in the early stages of implementation-be great to hear how you proceed!
